An Improved Model for the Performance Analysis of Multistage Switches
نویسندگان
چکیده
Previous models for performance evaluation of mul-tistage switches have been neither accurate enough nor based on realistic assumptions regarding the correlation of the blocked cells in successive stages of the switch. In this paper, a new analytical model which permits an accurate analysis of multistage switches is proposed. The new model reeects the behavior of blocked cells, and takes into account the fact that a blocked cell always hunts for the same output link in successive cycles.

Fully Distributed Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of an Improved Non-Uniform Traveling Wave Structure
Modeling and simulation of communication circuits at high frequency are important challenges ahead in the design and construction of these circuits. Knowing the fact that the lumped element model is not valid at high frequency, distributed analysis is presented based on active and passive transmission lines theory. In this paper, a lossy transmission line model of traveling wave switch (TWSW) i...
متن کاملAnalysis of Shared Bu er Multistage Networks with Hot Spot
Multistage Interconnection Networks based on shared buuering are known to have better performance and buuer utilization than input or output buuered switches. Shared buuer switches do not suuer from head of line blocking which is a common problem in simple input buuering. Shared buuer switches have previously been studied under uniform and unbalanced traac patterns. However, due to the complexi...
متن کاملAn Improved Modular Modeling for Analysis of Closed-Cycle Absorption Cooling Systems
A detailed modular modeling of an absorbent cooling system is presented in this paper. The model including the key components is described in terms of design parameters, inputs, control variables, and outputs. The model is used to simulate the operating conditions for estimating the behavior of individual components and system performance, and to conduct a sensitivity analysis based on the give...
متن کاملSensitivity Analysis of Fiber-Reinforced Lamina Micro-Electro-Mechanical Switches with Nonlinear Vibration Using a Higher Order Hamiltonian Approach
In this paper, the nonlinear free vibration of fiber-reinforced lamina micro-switches is investigated, and a sensitivity analysis (SA) is given. The switches are modeled as solid rectangular beams consisting of an isotropic matrix with transversely and longitudinally isotropic reinforcements, incorporating a higher order Hamiltonian approach. An SA of the proposed micro-switch is presented by c...
متن کاملInvestigating Multicasting Traffic in Multistage Interconnection Networks with MOSEL∗
Multistage interconnection networks (Banyan networks) are frequently used for performance evaluation of communication systems (e.g. Ethernet and ATM switches). There exist several studies (see [9] and [7]) describing the performance of networks in which packets (or frames) are unicasted (i.e. one switching element (SE) sends the packet to one and only one other SE). A model for MINs in case of ...
